IKEA Jurong Point logo projector installation
A showroom projection brief describing instructions projected onto furniture and floors at IKEA Jurong Point.
Project story based on the public source and cleared customer/photo media; measured outcomes are not independently confirmed.
Challenge
Before the Alexandra Mall installation, IKEA asked Big Shine Singapore to pilot the same idea at Jurong Point: replace printed function labels on furniture with ceiling-projected instructions that update easily and keep the showroom looking uncluttered.
Site conditions
Projectors are mounted to the showroom ceiling at Jurong Point and aimed at furniture and the surrounding floor. The specific mounting points, unit count and throw distances for this installation have not been carried over into the current project record.
Big Shine solution
The projected instructions guide shoppers through storage and convertible features without a staff member present — prompts like “Lift seat for extra storage space” and “Pull out drawers for hidden storage” appear directly on the furniture being described, over sofas, beds and wardrobes.
System
The published photograph shows a projected storage instruction over furniture on the showroom floor. Projector model, unit count, lens and mounting specification for this site have not been carried over into the current project record.
Verified result
The photograph confirms an illuminated instruction projected directly onto furniture. We have not measured any change in customer engagement, printed-signage volume or staff support requests, so this page describes the installation rather than its impact. Customer, logo and photo reuse for this project was cleared on 2026-09-19. This installation preceded and informed the later IKEA Alexandra Mall project.
